  • Rygiel Supports for Community Living and Healthy Futures Group - Workshops in June

    The following full-day workshops will take place in June for the non-profit sector in Hamilton:

    Hiring for Keeps - Attracting & Selecting Ideal Employees is being held on Tuesday June 11, 2002.
    Performance Matters - Using Performance Management to Maximize Employee Potential is being held on Tuesday June 18, 2002.

    Both workshops are being held at Rygiel Supports for Community Living at 930 Upper Paradise Road, Hamilton. The cost is $75 for one or $125 for both, plus GST.

  • United Way's annual Day of Caring - Thursday May 30, 2002

    If you need some help with a project or activity, volunteers from across the community will be available to help non profit organizations and schools.

    If you would like more information, have a project that you wish to submit or wish to volunteer, please contact the United Way of Burlington, Hamilton-Wentworth at 905-527-4576, ext.420 or visit their web site.

    The Day of Caring is presented by the United Way of Burlington, Hamilton-Wentworth in partnership with Halton Regional Police Services, Volunteer Halton and Volunteer Hamilton, the City of Burlington and the City of Hamilton.

  • Volunteer Hamilton launched Bay Area Leadership on January 18 2002. The inaugural class of 34 participants will participate in an innovative program designed to chart a course for visionary leadership in the communities of Burlington and Hamilton. This exciting new program will motivate, train and mentor participants. It is focused on promoting and enhancing leadership skills among talented individuals in all sectors of the community.

  • Big Brothers Big Sisters Canada has launched a new web site devoted exclusively to mentoring. Mentoring Canada offers online training modules plus a downloadable library that shares the experience that Big Brothers Big Sisters has gained over the years.
